Getting RAW: Fashion, Art and Music Gel in One Slammin' Showcase
By Jamie Laughlin Wed., Jun. 27 2012 at 3:31 PM

"d.p.c. brings wearable fashion with an exotic edge to RAW on Sunday.
I have this theory that Dallas needs one great party to unite its creative classes. This Sunday's RAW: Natural Born Artists seems like a page ripped straight from my dream journal. A new-to-Dallas showcase, RAW's "Mixology" event features visual art from 20 local creatives, a spoken word poet, a band, a DJ, a short film showcase and a full-on runway affair by local designer d.p.c., who's collection made my heart race at the Pin Show earlier this year.
...
Closing out the show is a runway production by Dora Yim, the designing mainframe behind the local label d.p.c. Yim's collaborating with hair and make-up artists to create an over-the-top catwalk scandal for you. Don't worry, it's the kind of scandal that makes you want to buy clothes, not change the privacy settings on your Facebook profile. Everyone participating is local and ready to show off, so go scope it out. Tickets online are only ten bucks."

Last Night's Pin Show: Look What The Catwalk Dragged In
By Jamie Laughlin Fri., Feb. 24 2012 at 10:30 AM

Categories: Fashion

“d.p.c.
This collection pulled the beauty out of the basics by lifting the front hemline mid-thigh on a well-tailored sweater dress and allowing the back to scallop breezily behind her as she exited. A modernized straight-cut black and white top paired with black leggings kept this collection moving in a sleek way that was dressy enough for the main stage but dumb-downable enough for daily wear.”

The Pin Show: meet the designers, Vol. 3
by Jim Duran on January 25, 2012

d.p.c. by Dora Yim

“Born in Hong Kong, Dora, a BYU graduate, lived in New York for over 10 years. She relocated to Dallas in December of 2010.

How would you describe your design aesthetic?
“Dimensional, practical, and comfortable. Basically, my clothes fit different ages and body types, bringing out something different in each person who wears them. They are elegant and accentuate the best attributes of a woman’s body.”
What is the inspiration behind your collection?
“Everything around me [inspires me], but mainly the color, prints, and texture of the fabrics I use.””
